2019年4月22日、東京でも気温が25度以上になり夏日となった。公園に行くと、野鳥写真撮影グループの姿が見られた。日本ではエナガ団子と言われる身を寄せ合う巣立ちしたばかりの雛がいた。親鳥は頻繁に取った虫を雛に与えていた。撮影条件が悪かったので、私は公園の別の場所に移動することにした。
On April 22, 2019, the temperature in Tokyo was over 25℃ and it was summer day. When I went to the park, I saw a wild bird photographer group. There was a brood of ten fledglings so called “Skewered dumplings of Long-tailed tit” in Japan. The parents were frequently feeding their chicks with caught caterpillar. Because the shooting conditions were bad, I decided to move to another place of the park.
午後3時頃になるとエナガの雛は次第に集まり10羽が串団子状に並んだ。ただ、場所が写真撮影には向かなかった。低い位置からの太陽光線でひどい逆光になりしかも木の枝の間から辛うじて見える場所だった。地元の方が前日に撮った写真を見せてくれた。11羽の雛が良い撮影条件の桜の木の枝にきれいに並んでいた。とても可愛く見えた。
At around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the fledglings of the long-tailed tit gradually gathered and 10 birds lined up like the skewered dumplings. However, the location was not suitable for photography. It was a place where it was awfully backlit by sunlight from a low position and was barely visible from among the branches of the tree. The local birder showed me the phot he took the day before. Eleven fledglings lined up beautifully on the cherry tree branches under good shooting conditions. They looked very cute.
公園から帰る時、また朝エナガ団子を見た場所に行ってみた。やはり親鳥は頻繁に雛に青虫を与えていた。
When I came back from the park, I went to the place where I saw a group of Long-tailed tit in the morning. After all the parents were frequently giving caught caterpillars to the fledglings.
