ゴイサギ一家が様子見に来た, Black-crowned night heron family came to look at the living environment.
2016年4月20日、柏市にある柏の葉公園を早朝散歩した。第2水辺公園を歩いているとき、突然上空に5羽の鳥の群れが飛んできた。 逆光状態で見にくいが、色は黒っぽく見えたので時々見かけるシロサギではなかった。
On April 20, 2016, I strolled in Kashiwanoha Park in Kashiwa city early in the morning. A flock of five birds flew suddenly in the air above the pond when I was walking the second Kashiwanoha waterside park. It was hard to see in a backlight condition, but the bird was not a white heron which I sometimes saw because the color was blackish.
2羽並んで飛んでいる写真をみると、上を飛ぶ鳥の腹部は白く、下を飛ぶ鳥の腹部には縞模様がある。そうか、ゴイサギの成鳥と幼鳥なのか。
Looking at the photo of two birds flying closely each other, it is visible that the upper bird has white belly and the lower bird has belly with stripe. Now I understand these birds are adult and young birds of Black-crowned night heron.

ゴイサギの群れは2，3分池の上空を旋回していたが、身を隠す場所のない小さい池と判断したためか、池に降りてこなかった。 この池でこれまでゴイサギを見かけたことはなかった。
The night herons turned around over the pond for two or three minutes, but did not flew down in the pond probably because they judged the pond as to be small and no place to hide themselves. I have not seen the Black-crowned night heron until now in this pond.
