2020年4月15日、近くの柏の葉公園・第2水辺公園を散歩すると、またいつものウグイスに出会えた。この日、ウグイスは高い木の梢まで登って高らかに縄張り宣言を繰り返した。ウグイスは木の梢で、口を大きく開け、喉を膨らませ、よく響く声で「ホーホケキョ」と10回ほどもさえずった。
When I strolled in nearby Kashiwanoha Second-Waterside Park on April 15, 2020, I met again the Japanese bush warbler I saw before. On this day, the warbler climbed up to the treetop of a tall tree and repeatedly declared the territory clearly. The warbler on the treetop opened the mouth wide, puffed out the throat and sang the song like “Hooo-hokekyo” about ten times clearly.
ウグイスは近くの桜の小枝に移動した。もう桜の花は散っている。ウグイスは移動した小枝でまた歌い始めた。同じように口を大きく開けて喉を膨らませて、よく響く声で「ホーホケキョ」と2, 3回さえずった。
The warbler has moved to a nearby cherry blossom twig. The cherry blossoms have been already scattered. The warbler began singing again on the moved twig. In the same way, it opened the mouth wide and puffed out the throat and sang the song like “Hooo-hokekyo” a few times clearly.
