2020年2月15日、水元公園の林で2,3羽のキクイタダキを見た。 キクイタダキは針葉樹で忙しく動き回るだけでなく広葉樹の間も飛び回った。キクイタダキは小さい体を生かし小枝の葉に付く虫をホバリング捕食し他の小鳥とうまくすみ分けているようだ。
I saw a few Goldcrests in the forest of Mizumoto Park on February 15, 2020. Goldcrest moved around busily among the branches of not only the coniferous tree but also the broadleaf tree. Goldcrest seems to differentiate itself from other birds successfully by hovering to prey on insects on the leaves of twigs making the best use of the small body.
