シベリア中央から東で繁殖し、冬季に主に中華人民共和国北部へ南下、日本にも少数が飛来し越冬するハチジョウツグミ, Naumann’s thrush breeding eastwards from central Siberia and being strongly migratory, wintering principally in China and rarely in Japan.
冬になるとツグミは繁殖地のシベリアから遠路日本に群れて渡ってくるが、ハチジョウツグミは珍しい。 この冬、水元公園にハチジョウツグミが飛来して越冬している。2020年2月15日、公園を散歩してハチジョウツグミを観察した。 ハチジョウツグミとツグミの写真をそれぞれ左と右に示す。
In winter, Dusky thrushes migrate in numbers from breeding grounds of Siberia to far Japan, but Naumann’s thrush is rare. In this winter, a Naumann’s thrush has come to Mizumoto Park and is wintering. On February 15, 2020, I strolled in the park and observed the Naumann’s thrush. ここの公園の広場は大変広い。広場は草で覆われているので集う市民も多い。また沢山のツグミ、ムクドリやヒバリが草原で餌を捕っている。 ハチジョウツグミは1羽だけのようだが、行動はツグミと同じだ。草原を嘴で突っついて虫を探している。 広場には市民も多いので、鳥たちも人をあまり気にしない。
The park ground here is very large. The ground is covered with grass, so many people gather. A lot of thrushes, starlings and skylarks are looking for food in the grass-covered field. The Naumann’s thrush seems to be only one, but the behavior is the same as the dusky thrush. It is poking a beak through the meadow looking for food. There are many citizens in the ground, so birds don’t care too much about people.
