2017年4月5日、柏の葉公園の散歩を終わって家に帰るとき、アパートの中庭でイソヒヨドリを見かけた。昨年の8月にこの場所でイソヒヨドリの幼鳥を 見かけた。その小鳥が成鳥になったのだろうか？イソヒヨドリは長く囀り続けた。囀るイソヒヨドリを見つめるように、もう一羽のイソヒヨドリが3ｍくらい離れた枝に止まっていた。 この写真に見られるように2羽は向かい合って見つめあっている。
On April 5, 2017, when I returned home after finishing a walk at Kashiwanoha Park, I saw two Blue rock thrushes at the apartment courtyard. Last August I saw a young bird of the blue rock thrush at this place. Did that bird become adult? The thrush kept singing for a long time. Another Blue rock thrush perched on a branch about 3 meters away as if it looked at the singing thrush. As seen in this picture, two birds face and are staring each other.

昨年見かけたイソヒヨドリは羽衣の模様もまだらで いかにも幼鳥に見えたが、今回みたイソヒヨドリは綺麗な羽衣と美しい歌声を誇る若者に見える。写真を撮っていたら、帰宅する何人かの小学生が木の下に来てイソヒヨドリを見上げ始めたのでオスは囀るのを止めた。
The blue rock thrush that I saw last year looked like a chick with mottled plumage, but the thrush I saw this time seems to be a youth featuring beautiful plumage and beautiful singing voice. As I was taking pictures, some elementary students come home and started to looking up the thrushes under the tree, then the thrush stopped singing.
