2016年8月5日、柏の葉公園を散歩した。第2水辺公園の池の上をギンヤンマが飛んでいるのを見た。ギンヤンマは子供の頃の憧れのトンボだった。大きく美しい、そして力強く飛び、捕まえられなかった。それから何十年後の現在に至るまで、ギンヤンマが止まっている姿を見たことがない。
On August 5, 2016, I strolled in Kashiwanoha Park. I saw a Lesser emperor flying on the pond in the second Kashiwanoha waterside park. I yearned for the lesser emperor when I was a child. It is big and beautiful, and I was not able to catch it because it flew powerfully. Until now after several tens years, I have never seen the lesser emperor stopping.
ギンヤンマは池の上を何回も往復してくれたので、今夏初めて鮮明な写真を撮れた。ギンヤンマはホバリンブしなかったがゆっくり飛んでくれたので、手動焦点で沢山の写真を撮り、その中から焦点の合ったものだけを選んだ。この写真で分かるが、ギンヤンマは胸部が大きく、内蔵される筋肉に付く翅も大きい。ギンヤンマの飛行最高時速は昆虫界最高の100km/hに達すると言う。
I was able to take clear photos for the first time this summer because the lesser emperor commuted many time over the pond. The dragonfly could fly slowly but did not hover and then I took many photos on manual focusing mode and chose only good photos. As can be seen by these photos, the lesser emperor has bigger chest and wings which attached the muscle inside the chest. It is said that the maximum flying speed of the lesser emperor reaches 100km/h, the best in the insect class.
