池の水面でアメンボをよく見かける。体の小さいオスがメスにおんぶされていることが多い。小さいガがゆっくり飛んできて近くの草の葉に止まった。これはカノコガだ。チョウの仲間とは思えない姿をしている。
I often see water striders on the surface of the pond. The small males are often carried on the female’s back. A small moth slowly flew over and landed on a nearby blade of grass. This is an Amata fortune. It doesn’t look like a butterfly.
