The hot days continue (Sep 13, 2024), but instead of the “minmin” cicadas (Hyalessa maculaticollis), the sings of the “tukutuku” cicadas (Meimuna opalifera) echo. I can’t quite find where they are. There it is! It’s started to sing. It’s a male cicada.
