2026年2月3日、家の近くの空き地に餌を取っているツグミがいた。草の生えている地面から丸い物をつまんでいる、何だろう？写真を拡大してみると、カタツムリの殻の特徴が分かる画像があった。ツグミの獲物はカタツムリだった。カタツムリはこんな場所で集団越冬しているんだ。動きもしない、音も出さないで越冬しているカタツムリを見つけるツグミの能力に驚いた。

When I enlarged the photo, I found an image that revealed the characteristics of a snail shell. The thrush’s prey was a snail. Snails hibernate in groups in places like this. I was amazed at the thrush’s ability to find snails hibernating without moving or making a sound.
