オンブバッタ

オンブバッタ Atractomorpha lata

こんぶくろ池自然博物公園の遊歩道横の草むらでオンブバッタを見かけた（2023年9月20日）。文字通り、メスがオスをおんぶしている。オスはメスに比べはるかに小さいので、メスは負担に感じないのだろう。

I saw a grasshopper (Atractomorpha lata) in the grass next to the promenade at Konbukuro Pond Nature Museum Park (September 20, 2023). The female is carrying the male on her back. Males are much smaller than females, so the females probably don’t feel like a burden.
