シャコバサボテンに蕾が付いた(Nov. 27, 2023)。1週間位経つとたくさんの花が咲いた(Dec. 2, 2023)。鮮やかな赤、ピンク、やや濁った黄色の花が付いている。白い蕾でも低温下で開花させると薄い桃色に花色が変わる性質があると書いてある。外の寒いベランダに置いてあったので桃色の花が多いのかもしれない。
The giant cactus has buds (Nov. 27, 2023). After about a week, many flowers bloomed (Dec. 2, 2023). It has bright red, pink, and slightly dull yellow flowers. It is written that even if the buds are white and allowed to bloom at low temperatures, the flower color will change to a pale pink. It may have many pink flowers because it was placed outside on a cold balcony.
シャコバサボテン（蝦蛄葉仙人掌）学名(Schlumbergera truncata (Haw.) Moran, 1953)とは、サボテン科スクルンベルゲラ属[1]（シュルンベルゲラ属とも呼ぶ）に属する森林性樹上着生生活をするサボテンの一種である。ブラジルリオデジャネイロ州のオルガン山脈などの高山を原産とするサボテンで、冬場（北半球ではクリスマスの時期）に開花することから「クリスマス・カクタス」と海外では呼ばれる。
