大きいスイカを4個収穫し、親づるを切除した。残った子づるが伸び続けて雌花が咲いたので8月5日に人工授粉した。もう育たないだろうと思っていたが大きくなっている。8月21日、さらに大きくなった。驚いた。
I harvested four large watermelons and cut off the main vine. The remaining secondary vines continued to grow and produced female flowers, so I artificially pollinated them on August 5th. I thought they wouldn’t grow any more, but they’re getting bigger. On August 21st, they’ve grown even bigger. I was surprised.
