カワセミ・メスのダイビング, Diving of a female kingfisher
「葦の間にエビがいる、突撃するよー！」
カワセミマニアの方の話、「おととい抱卵始めたようだ。孵るのに2週間かかるから5月中ころ雛を連れた親を見られるからその頃来ればいいよ。」
カメラの焦点はカワセミの突撃ホバリングに合ったが、この後の突撃シーンでは焦点が背景に逃げてしまった。エビを捕って止まり木に戻った時、 焦点がカワセミに合った。突撃するカワセミを撮影するのは大変難しい。
“A shrimp is among the reeds. I’ll make a sally for it!”
“The kingfisher seems to start incubating eggs the day before yesterday. It takes about two weeks to hatch, so you would better to come again to see the chicks with the parents in the middle of May.” said the kingfisher mania.
The camera focused just on the sally hovering of the kingfisher, but the focal point escaped to the background in the following scenes. It is very difficult to take a photo of the sally flight of the kingfisher.
エビを捕ったこのカワセミはメスだ。オスとメスが交代で卵の面倒みているのかな? 5月には雛を見たいな。カワセミの前面に細い木の枝があるが、焦点はカワセミに合っている。カワセミはエビをそのまま?み込んだ。
The kingfisher that caught shrimp is a female. I wonder if male and female are taking care of eggs in turn. I want to see chicks in May. The kingfisher swallowed the shrimp as it was.

エビを食べ終わったカワセミは何回（17回）も水浴びをした。ほぼ同じ場所にダイビングするのでファインダーで比較的追いやすい。
The kingfisher that finished eating shrimp bathed many times (17 times). Because it dived almost in the same place, it was comparatively easy to follow with the viewfinder.
カワセミが水に突入する瞬間の写真だ、嘴の先端が水面にタッチしている。水面に反射した鏡像がもっとはっきり見えればよかったな。
This is a picture at the moment of the kingfisher enters the water, the tip of the beak is touching the surface of the water. I wish I could see the mirror image reflected on the water more clearly.
撮影は難しいが、カメラの焦点は水面から飛び出すカワセミにかなり良く合っている。

今回の撮影では、水面から飛び立つカワセミに焦点が合った画像は17回中12回と多かった。また、ファインダーでカワセミを追ったが、 DXの画像サイズから外れたそのシーンは17回中1回と少なかった。
In this shooting, the number of pictures focused on the kingfisher that flew from the surface of the water was as many as 12 out of 17. Also, I followed the kingfisher with the viewfinder, but the scene was out of the image size of DX was as small as 1 out of 17 times.
水面から飛び立って止まり木に戻るカワセミに焦点が合った画像も多かった。高速で動く被写体に焦点が追随した。
The number of pictures focused on the kingfisher that was on the way from the surface of the water to the perch was also many. The focus followed the object moving at high speed.
