The Bohemian waxwing was eating ripe fruits of the Japanese ivy.

In the forest, an evergreen Japanese ivy climbing other trees that have dropped leaves stands out. This climbing plant has fruits, ripens in black, having round shape, in spring, which offers food for waxwings. This waxwing is the Bohemian waxwing since the tail ends in a bright yellow band. Because the Japanese ivy has plenty of fruits, it seems that several waxwings were eating ripe fruit while flying around. These two waxwings were also the Bohemian waxwings.

The Bohemian waxwing seems to be choosing ripe fruits among the many ivy ones at first by eyesight.
The Bohemian waxwing seems to be swallowing the pinched fruit after checking the taste with the tongue.
