2015年3月17日、柏の葉公園を散歩した。公園でオオカンザクラの花が咲き誇っていた。ヒヨドリが桜の花の蜜を求めて集まっていた。早春になるとヒヨドリとメジロがこの花に集まる。大きいヒヨドリが小さいメジロを追い払うシーンをよく見かける。ヒヨドリにとって春は、餌の乏しい冬に耐えた後においしい蜜を食べられる快適な季節だ。ヒヨドリは嘴にたくさん桜の花粉をつけている。
On March 17, 2015, I strolled in Kashiwanoha Park. The flowers of an Oh-kanzakura cherry tree were prosperous in the park. Brown-eared bulbuls were gathering for the honey of the cherry blossoms. When early spring comes, Brown-eared bulbuls and Japanese white-eyes gather in this flower. I often see a scene where the big bulbul chases the small white-eye. For the bulbul, spring is a delightful season when it can eat delicious honey after enduring the poor winter of bait. The bulbul is placing a lot of cherry blossom pollen on the beak.
