関東地方で増えているクマゼミ, Increasing number of C. facialis in the Kanto region
夏の暑い時期に西日本に行ったとき、よくクマゼミを見かけた。今年の夏、千葉県柏市でも鳴き声を聞いたが、姿は見つけられなかった。涼しくなった日(Sep 26, 2024)に中庭の歩道にクマゼミが落ちていた。まだ生きていたので近くの木に止まらせて写真を撮った。クマゼミが関東地方で生息数を増やしていることは本当だ。
When I went to Western Japan during the hot summer, I often saw the big cicada (Cryptotympana facialis). This summer, I also heard its song in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, but I couldn’t find it. On a cool day (Sep 26, 2024), I found a big cicada lying on the sidewalk in the courtyard. It was still alive, so I let it land on a nearby tree and took a picture. It is true that the big cicada (Cryptotympana facialis) population is increasing in the Kanto region.
