Great spotted woodpecker (male) of Akigase.

When I went to the picnic forest, I saw a Great spotted woodpecker perched on the branch of a tree. The woodpecker was identified as the Great spotted woodpecker because the whole body was visible though it was a little far. The back of the head was visible. This woodpecker is a male because there are red feathers on the head.
The great spotted woodpecker was moving about branches of trees looking for baits. The woodpecker seemed to have found a worm on a branch. Great spotted woodpecker is a popular woodpecker distributed throughout Europe and northern Asia. It is popular in Japan, too.
