日本の冬は寒い。日本の北端の北海道では、冬には普通、部屋全体の暖房装置を使う。日本の中央部にある関東地方では局所暖房が普通だ。冬にPCを使っていると手が一番冷たくなる。手の暖房に何がいいかいくつか試した。ヒーター入り手袋を使ってみたがバッテリーが過放電のため1年で使えなくなった。次に写真の小さい電気毛布を使ってみた。キーボードを操作する手の上にかぶせて使用した。適度に温かくこれは良い。ただし、キーボードは見えなくなるので完全なタッチタイピングが必須だ。これは私にとって大きな問題ではない。
Winter in Japan is cold. In Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost prefecture, whole-room heating systems are commonly used in winter. Local heating is common in the Kanto region in central Japan. When I use my computer in winter, my hands get the coldest. I tried several things to see what would be good for heating my hands. I tried using heated gloves, but they stopped working after a year because the battery over-discharged. Next, I tried using the small electric blanket shown in the photo. I used it by placing it over my hand while operating the keyboard. It’s moderately warm which is good. However, the keyboard is invisible,
