016年4月1日、柏の葉公園を早朝散歩した。公園のソメイヨシノは満開だった。第2水辺公園を歩いていると目の前の木の茂みから ウグイスの歌声が聞こえた。茂みの中からようやくその姿を見つけた。静かに見ていたら、ウグイスは木の枝を少し移動して姿がより 見えるようになった。ウグイスの色は緑の混じった薄いこげ茶色であり、地味で木の藪の色に近い保護色だ。 さらに、ウグイスは警戒心が強く藪を好むので、近くでさえずりを聞いても姿を見つけにくい。
On March 25, 2016, I strolled in Kashiwanoha Park early in the morning. The cherry blossoms in the park were in full bloom. I heard the song of Japanese bush warbler in the tree bush in front of me when I was walking the second Kashiwanoha waterside park. I finally found the bird in the bush. I was watching quietly then the bird moved on the branch a little and came in sight more. The color of the Japanese bush warbler is thin dark-brown mixed with green, and quiet and protective coloration against the tree bush. In addition, the warbler is very cautious and likes bush then it is often invisible even if I hear the clear song.
ウグイスは日本三鳴鳥の1つであり、色は地味だが、歌声は日本で古くから愛でられてきた。梅や桜の花が咲くとメジロが蜜を吸いに来る。 そのころ春告げ鳥であるウグイスも歌いだす。ウグイスは藪に隠れ姿を現さないので、日本人はメジロをウグイスとよく混同することがある。 ウグイスは数十秒この小枝に留まったが、まもなく別の場所に飛んで姿を隠した。
