空き家とオオキンケイギク, Vacant house and Lance-leaved coreopsis
茂原市は人口約8万4千人の都市で空き家が目立つ。空き家の周辺にはオオキンケイギクが繁殖していることが多い。オオキンケイギクの花は綺麗なのでつい植えて見たくなる。でもオオキンケイギクは繁殖力の非常に強い外来種だ。
カワラナデシコなどの在来種に悪影響を与える恐れが指摘され、2006年に特定外来生物として栽培・譲渡・販売・輸出入などが原則禁止された。各地で駆除作業の報道もあるが大変な労力を必要とする。
Mobara City is a city with a population of about 84,000, and has a noticeable number of vacant houses. Lance-leaved coreopsis often grows around vacant houses. Their flowers are so beautiful that it’s tempting to plant one. However, Lance-leaved coreopsis is an invasive species with extremely high reproductive prowess.
It was pointed out that it could have a negative impact on native species such as the Dianthus superbus s, and in 2006 it was designated as a specified invasive species, and in principle its cultivation, transfer, sale, import and export were banned. There have been reports of extermination efforts in various places, but it requires a great deal of effort.
