面白い習性をもつアブ, A fly having a interesting habit
2025年7月17日、庭のの土の上にアブが止まった。写真を撮ろうとしたら飛んでしまった。しばらく後にまた飛んできて土の上の止まった。翅が黒っぽく、腹部に白い帯模様があるのでコントラストが強く目立つ姿だ。この特徴からクロバネツリアブであることが分かる。メスは腹部先端を地面につけ土の微粒子を取り込む行動（尾端接触行動）をすると言う（左写真）。
On July 17, 2025, a horsefly landed on the soil in my garden. When I tried to take a photo, it flew away. A little while later, it flew back and landed on the soil. Its wings are black and its abdomen has a white stripe pattern, so it stands out with a strong contrast. From these characteristics, I can tell that it is a fly named Ligyra tantalus. It is said that females put the tip of their abdomen on the ground and take in soil particles (tail-tip contact behavior in the left photo).
