  • 特に、日本の野鳥のページの移行を通して、生物多様性の現状を知り、その原因を考える。

作業, work

移行作業をした日本の野鳥の各科のページ数は以下ようであった。

結論, Conclusions

  • WordPressはデータベースを主機能とするので、カテゴリ別表示や月別表示、サイト内検索を簡単にできる。旧HTMLページではこれらはできなかった。
  • WordPress’s main function is a database, so you can easily view by category, month, and search within the site. This was not possible with old HTML pages.
  • WordPressのページは「テーマ」とブロックエディタで作られる。既存のそれらを使えば比較的簡単にページを作成できる。
  • WordPress pages are created using “themes” and block editors. You can create pages relatively easily by using existing ones.
  • 独自の表現をするには、「テーマ」を独自に作成する必要がある。テーマはPHPプログラムファイル、PHPテンプレートファイル、CSSスタイルシートから構成されるので、従来のHTMLの知識に加えPHPプログラミングの知識を必要とするので初心者には難しい。
  • To express yourself uniquely, you need to create your own “theme.” Since a theme consists of PHP program files, PHP template files, and CSS style sheets, it requires knowledge of PHP programming in addition to traditional HTML knowledge, which is difficult for beginners.
  • 「テーマ」を用意した上で、移行作業を行えば平均29頁/日移行できた。旧HTMLページはこれらよりはるかに多いので、全部移行は困難です。とりあえずHTMLページ全体をWordPressサイト内に置き、WordPressページからリンクして表示することにしよう。

  • By utilizing WordPress features, it becomes easier to understand the differences in wild bird species, information on migratory birds by year, etc. I’m not an ornithologist, so I refer to Wikipedia for classification. My specialty is applied physics, so I am interested in the physical causes of the diversity of birds and insects.
