シベリアからの訪問者ホシハジロ, A visitor from Siberia, the Common Pochard
2026年1月1日、茂原公園を散歩した。池には水が満ちていて数羽のカモがいた。カルガモ以外では、このカモがいた。ヒドリガモかなと思ったが、顔つきが異なる。ホシハジロだった。これまで撮った写真にはなかった。はるかシベリア領域から越冬のため日本に飛来したようだ。
On January 1, 2026, I took a walk in Mobara Park. The pond was full of water, and there were several ducks. Apart from the spot-billed ducks, I also saw this duck. I thought it might be a Eurasian Wigeon, but its face was different. It was a Common Pochard. I hadn’t seen it in any photos I had taken before. It seems to have flown to Japan from faraway Siberia to spend the winter.
