日本で冬に会える青い鳥ルリビタキ, Red-flanked bluetail, a blue bird seen in winter in Japan
2017年2月14日、千葉県市川市の里見公園を散歩した。インターネットにこの公園にルリビタキが来ているとの情報があったので ぜひ見たいと思ったからだ。里見公園は大きい公園ではないが（面積8.2ha）、公園の北半分は自然を残した樹林となっている。
On February 14, 2017, I strolled in Satomi Park in Ichikawa City, Chiba. There was information that the Red-flanked bluetail was in this park, and then I wanted to see it. Although Satomi Park is not a big park (area 8.2 ha), the northern half of the park is a forest that leaves nature.
8時半ころ公園に着いて一周してみたが、誰もいないしアトリ以外の小鳥を見つけることはできなかった。9時過ぎにまた公園を 一周すると、写真を撮っている年配の人に出会った。何を撮っているのか尋ねると、「ルリビタキと言う小鳥がいるんです。」と言う。 カメラは灌木の方向を向いていたが、暗い茂みなので小鳥を見つけることはできなかった。しばらくすると、小鳥が飛び出して近くの木の杭に止まった。 ほんとだ、ルリビタキだ。
I arrived at the park around 8:30 and tried to walk around once but nobody was there and I could not find any birds other than some Bramblings. I walked around the park again after nine o’clock and I met an elderly person taking pictures. Asking what he was shooting, he said “There is a bird called the Red-flanked bluetail.” His camera faced the direction of the shrub, but it was a dark bush so I could not find the bird. After a while, a little bird jumped out and stopped at the nearby wooden pile. It’s true; it’s the Red-flanked bluetail
ルリビタキはしばらく杭に止まっていたが、また飛んで近くの地面に降りた。ルリビタキは私たちを警戒しているようには見えない、 私はとても驚いた。
The bluetail stuck in the pile for a while, but flew again and got off to the nearby ground. The small bird does not seem to be wary of us, I was very surprised.

次に、ルリビタキは近くの岩の上に止まって写真のモデルになってくれた。

突然ジョウビタキのメスが現れた。先のカメラマンが言うには「このメスのジョウビタキは気が強くって、オスのルリビタキを追い払うんですよ。」 ルリビタキは通路から山際の斜面に移動した。なるほど、ジョウビタキはルリビタキを追い払っているように見えた。
Suddenly a female Daurian redstart appeared. “This female redstart is strong and drives the male bluetail away.” the camera person said. The bluetail moved from the promenade to the slope of the hill. Indeed, it seemed that the redstart drove the bluetail away.

約一分後、またジョウビタキがやってきてルリビタキを追い払い同じ止まり木に止まった。
About one minute later, the redstart came again and perched on the same twig by driving the bluetail away.

私はルリビタキの写真を沢山撮れたのでその場を離れた。約1時間後に戻るとやはりルリビタキがいた。本当に人なれしている。
I got a lot of photos of the bluetail so I left the place. After about one hour I came back to this place and I saw still the bluetail. Really this bluetail is not shy of human.
