ヒメコンドル (Cathartes aura)

2015/1/21 コスタ･リカ国カーニョ・ネグロ野生保護区のボートツアー （Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, Costa Rica, Jan. 21, 2015）

• Fortunaから北へ約2時間、ニカラグア国境に近いLos Chilesでボートに乗り換え野生保護区を見学しました。
• About 2 hours north of Fortuna, we watched the place after transferring on the boat at Los Chiles chose to the Nicaragua border.

木の浮島のような場所にヒメコンドルがいました。何かを食べているようです（ボートツアー出発から53分後）。
There was a Turkey Vulture in a place like floating island of trees. It seems to be eating something (53 min after departure).

突然、別の大きいヒメコンドルが舞い降りて来て先にいたヒメコンドルをおいはらいました。 餌はもうなくなっています。ヒメコンドルが翼を広げました。でもこのしぐさは何を意味するのか知りません。 野生のヒメコンドルをこんなに近くから見たのは初めてです。
Suddenly, another big Turkey Vulture flew down and drove away the former one. Bait was already gone. The bird has spread wings. But I do not know what the meaning of this gesture. This is the first time I saw the wild Turkey Vulture so near.
