カンムリサンジャク (Calocitta formosa)

• 和名: カンムリサンジャク, English: White-throated magpie-jay, Espanol: Urraca hermosa cariblanca, Binomial name: Calocitta formosa (Swainson, 1827)

我々のグループが展望台に着くと、水色をした中型の鳥の集団がやって来た。人馴れしていて人間の行動を読んで行動するなどイグアスの滝で見たルリサンジャクに良く似ている。アレナル山は雲がかかってほとんど見えなかったが、初めて見るこの鳥が来たので満足した。
When our group arrived at the observatory, a flock of medium-sized birds with a light blue color came. This bird did not afraid of man and was very similar to the Plush-crested jay seen at Iguazu Falls that took action reading the human behavior. Arenal mountain could not be seen by hanging clouds, but we were satisfied seeing this bird closely for the first time.

背中が水色、腹部が白、黒いネックレスをつけたような模様、立派な冠羽、この鳥はなかなかしゃれたカラスだ。
Light blue back, white abdomen, pattern such as wearing a black necklace, respectable crown feathers; this bird is quite a stylish crow.

人間から1mくらいの間合いを取って様子を伺っている。餌をやる観光客もいるのだろう。
The bird is looking at human behavior taking a pause of about 1m. Probably some tourists feed them.
