オナガクロムクドリモドキ (Quiscalus mexicanus)

Costa Ricaの自然探索ツアーも終わりました。これからパラグアイに帰国しますが首都のSan Joseに一泊しました。時間があったので市内の公園（Parque National）に行ってみました。公園には尾の長い黒い鳥が群れていました。北アメリカから中央アメリカにかけて生息するGreat-tailed Grackleのオスとメスの集団ようです。
The ecotourism of Costa Rica was over. We stayed overnight at San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, before coming back to Paraguay. Since we had time, we went to the park in the city. The black bird with long tail flocked in the park. They are like male and female Great-tailed Grackles which inhabit from North America to Central America.

オスは青い虹色の光沢を持つ黒い羽毛を持ち、メスはオスより小さくこげ茶色の背中と白っぽい茶色の腹部を持ちます。
Wikipedia: Males reach up to 43 cm (17 in), including a tail that is almost as long as the body, weigh 230 g (8.1 oz), and are jet-black with a violet-blue iridescent sheen to the feathers. Females are significantly smaller at 33 cm (13 in), weigh 125 g (4.4 oz), and are mainly brownish-black, with a pale brown throat and belly.
