ズアカエボシゲラ (Campephilus guatemalensis)

高い木の枝に頭部が赤いキツツキがジッとしています。まだ活動時間でないのか、雨模様のためか分かりませんがほとんど動きません。
A woodpecker with red head was perching still on a branch of a tall tree. I do not know why the bird did not move, probably it is because of not active time or rainy condition.

霧雨の中かなり遠いうえに逆光状態ですが明るく補正して撮った結果、頭部が赤く背が黒っぽい特徴は十分分かります。特徴のある配色からズアカエボシゲラと判別できます。
In addition to being quite far in misty weather it is backlight condition, but the photo taken by correcting brighter shows enough image that the bird has red head and dark back. From this characteristic color pattern the bird is identified as Pale-billed woodpecker.
