コスタ･リカ国セルバ・ベルデ・ロッジのバフムジツグミ （Clay-colored thrush in Selva Verde Lodge, Costa Rica）
私達は1月23日、サラピキのSelva Verde Lodgeに移動しました。自然環境に調和した木造のロッジで、ベランダから外を眺められます。La Selva Biological Stationに近いのでロッジ周辺で多くの野鳥や動物を観察できるため多くのエコツアー客が利用しています。ここは自然保護区外なのでロッジでは餌台を作って野鳥や動物を呼寄せていました。レストランのベランダから食事をしながら野鳥を観察できるように、食事の時間に合わせて餌台に切ったバナナを置いていました。果実を食べる野鳥に限られますが多くの野鳥が集まってきました。
We moved to Selva Verde Lodge of Sarapiqui on January 23. The Lodge is made of wood and in harmony with the natural environment; we can look at the nature from the veranda. To offer the opportunity to observe birds from the veranda of the restaurant while having a meal, they put cut bananas on the feed table to match the time of the meal. Many birds gathered to the feed table, though they were limited to fruit eating birds.
