2015年9月12日午前：ノース・セイモア島上陸観察ツアー （混載バス・ガイド・昼食付）。ホテルに迎えにきたAltamar号のバスで約50分、Santa Cruz 島のDockに着いた。ここにはトイレの設備もあり安心だ。
On September 12, 2015 in the morning: Tour of landing and observation of the North Seymour Island. The landing observation cruise was consolidation bus tour with guide and lunch. We arrived at the dock of the Santa Cruz Island by bus of Altamar in about 50 minutes which came to pick us up at the hotel. The restroom is also prepared here and is reliable.

ここはSanta Cruz 島のDock、左の写真は休憩所、右の写真は休憩所から見た風景であり、船から降ろした荷物を運ぶ車が出入りする。海には各種のボートが浮いていた。
Here is the dock of the Santa Cruz Island. The left photo shows the rest station and the right photo shows the scene seen from the rest station. Cars carrying the baggage from the boat go in and out here. Various boats floated in the sea.

私たちはDockからタグボートに乗り、私たちのグループに予約されていたボートAltamar号に乗り込んだ。
We got in the boat Altamar reserved for our group from the tugboat started at the dock.

Altamar号に乗りNorth Seymour Islandに向かった、海は静かで快適だった。途中、岩場にアオアシカツオドリ（Endemic subspecies）が止まっていた、私たちを見た。
We headed to the North Seymour Island on the Altamar, the sea was quiet and comfortable. On the way, we saw a Blue-footed booby resting on a rock. The bird looked at us.

この場所はNorth Seymour Island唯一の上陸地点だ。ここには簡単な岩の階段が作ってあり、人々はタグボートから海に入ることなく上陸できる。
This place is the only landing place of the North Seymour Island. The stairs made of rock are prepared here, and people can land the island directly from the tugboat.

岩場で甲羅の赤いカニをよく見かけた。島に上陸したら早速リクイグアナに出会った。のそりのそりと歩いていた。
I often saw red crabs in a rocky shore. We came across a Galapagos land iguana soon after we landed on the island. The iguana was walking slowly.

アメリカグンカンドリが島のいたる所に営巣していた。9月なのでもう求愛行動は見られないと思っていたが、赤い喉元を大きく膨らましているオスを沢山見ることが出来た。つがいは出来ているようで、オスとメスが寄り添っている姿が多かった。真っ白い雛の姿もあった。

島内では観察通路以外の場所を歩くことや、動物に触ることは禁止されている。でも通路近くに住んでいる鳥もいる。鳥は全く人間を恐れないので、すぐ近くで観察できる。まるでアオアシカツオドリの撮影会のようだ。
Magnificent frigatebird nested everywhere of the island. We could see many male frigatebirds which blew up the red throat, though I had thought the courtship behavior was not seen anymore because it was September. They seemed to have the pairs and there were many scenes that a male and a female snuggled up. There were also pure white young birds.

It is prohibited to walk the place except the observation passage and to touch animals in the island. But there are birds living near the passage. We can observe the bird very closely because the bird is not afraid of a human being. The situation in the photo is totally like a photography event of the Blue-footed booby.

North Seymour島を一周して、またタグボートに乗ってヨットAltamar号に戻った。

We went around North Seymour Island and returned to the yacht Altamar on the tugboat again.

約10分後、ヨットに戻って昼食の時間です。ヨット内で調理されたもので魚、野菜、ご飯と日本人に合う食事でした。
It was the lunch time when we returned to the yacht about 10 minutes later. The lunch was the dish cooked in the yacht of fish, vegetables and rice, which matched Japanese.

午後は、白い砂浜のBachas海岸でシュノーケリングや海水浴の予定だった。上手な人はヨットから直接海に飛び込んだ。初心者はタグボートで砂浜まで移動して練習したようだ。私達はシュノーケリングの経験がないので海には入らず、ヨットで休んでいた。
On September 12, 2015, in the afternoon, there was a plan of snorkeling at a sandy beach Bachas in the Santa Cruz Island. Persons who are good at snorkeling jumped into the sea directly from the yacht. The beginner moved to the sandy beach on the tugboat and seemed to practice. We did not have experience of the snorkeling and then we took a rest on the yacht without entering the sea.

飛ぶアオアシカツオドリの腹部が空色に見えた。白い羽毛に海の空色が反射してこのように見えているようだ。「あれっ！ガラパゴスアシカだ。こんにちは。」アシカが砂浜からかなり離れたヨットの近くに現れた。

The belly of the flying Blue-footed booby looked like sky blue. The white feather of the bird seems to reflect the sky blue of the sea. “Oh! Hello, sea lion.” A Galapagos sea lion emerged near the yacht where it was considerably far from the sandy beach.
