「さわる」と「みる」がであう彫刻展2024, The 2024 Sculpture Exhibition where “touching” and “seeing” meet

千葉県立美術館の展覧会, Exhibition at The Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art

2024年2月8日、千葉県立美術館で次の展覧会がありました。
On February 8, 2024, the following exhibition was held at the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art.

「アーツ・アンド・クラフツとデザイン　ウィリアム・モリスからフランク・ロイド・ライトまで」
“Arts & Crafts and Design: from William Morris to Frank Lloyd Wright”

アーツ・アンド・クラフツ運動はウィリアム・モリス（1834年-1896年）が主導したデザイン運動だ。知れば知る程奥が深いので、先に同時に開催されていた、彫刻に触れるとき -「さわる」と「みる」がであう彫刻展2024-を先に紹介します。この展示は、千葉県立美術館・筑波大学芸術系研究室連携事業であり、彫刻にさわることが出来る。
The Arts and Crafts movement was a design movement led by William Morris (1834-1896). The more you know about it, the more profound it is, so I’ll first introduce When you touch sculpture – Sculpture exhibition 2024 where “touch” and “see” meet, which was being held at the same time. This exhibition is a collaboration project between the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art and the University of Tsukuba Art Laboratory, and you can touch the sculptures.

子どもから大人まで誰でも作品にさわって楽しめます。
Everyone from children to adults can touch and enjoy the works.

視覚のみならず触覚でも鑑賞できる彫刻作品を主とした展覧会です。
This exhibition focuses on sculptures that can be appreciated not only visually but also tactilely.

平日なので訪問者は多くありませんでした。
Since it was a weekday, there were not many visitors.

私は千葉県JICAシニア海外ボランティアの会の役員会が終わったら近くの千葉県立美術館を訪問します。
After the board meeting of the Chiba JICA Senior Volunteers Association is over, I will visit the nearby Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art.
