真冬に目立つ野草, Wildflowers that stand out in mid-winter

カラスウリの実とニホンズイセンの花, Fruit of T. cucumeroides and flowers of Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis

茂原公園を散歩した(Jan 1, 2025)。野鳥の姿は見られなかった。林の中で橙色のカラスウリの実が目立っていた。昨年も柏市の公園でカラスウリの実を見かけた。花も紅葉もない時期なので橙色の実は目立つ。草むらでニホンズイセンの花を見かけた。年末年始のころ、野原で花をみかけることはないのでニホンズイセンの花は目立つ。

I took a walk in Mobara Park (Jan 1, 2025). I didn’t see any wild birds. The orange fruit of a plant (T. cucumeroides) stood out in the woods. I also saw the plant in a park in Kashiwa City last year. It was a time when there were no flowers or autumn leaves, so the orange fruit stood out. I saw daffodil flowers (Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis) in the grass. Around the New Year period, you don’t see flowers in the fields, so the daffodil flowers stood out.
