Is the long-beaked Great spotted woodpecker polymorphic?

On January 19, 2024, I went bird watching for the first time this year to Mizumoto Park. Since I was able to photograph the mountain tit, I walked in the direction of Mizumoto Bridge, and there was a reed field along the way. You can sometimes see the Ruddy-breasted and the Common snipe here, but I didn’t see them this time.

I saw a few more birders at the edge of the reed beds, and when I got closer, I saw a Great spotted woodpecker in an unexpected place. The woodpecker was pecking at the rotten tree stump that remained in the reed bed, catching worm. This woodpecker is different from the commonly seen Great spotted woodpecker, and has become a hot topic on the internet. The beak is particularly long compared to the Great spotted woodpecker. Looking at the difference in the plumage of the White-backed Woodpecker and the Great spotted woodpecker, this individual has the plumage of a Great spotted woodpecker (female). Is this also a polymorphism that is widely seen in living things?
